We offer classical ballet, tap, modern jazz and hip hop and is recognized as a leader in classical dance education for all ages and levels in southeast Georgia.

Statesboro School of Dance is led by Artistic Director (and Statesboro native) Shay Thompson Morgan and assisted by a wonderful staff of talented dancers teaching your child(ren).

SSOD presents three performances each season – Nutcracker every December, Faith in Motion (our praise & worship performance) in late Winter, and our Spring recital the first Saturday in June.

SSOD Alumni Reunite for 20th Anniversary Performance

In honor of Statesboro School of Dance’s 20th Anniversary Spring Performance, SSOD alumni reunited to perform. Those participating included a dozen students who graduated from SSOD during 2002-2021. Below are some pictures from the performance.  

SSOD Alumni Participate in UGA’s Tap Dawgs

SSOD Students to Attend Collegiate Summer Intensives

Two SSOD Dancers will attend summer dance intensives at colleges in the South. Junior Katherine Whitlock will be attending the 3-week summer intensive at the University of South Carolina.
