The Kiwanis Fair Parade is Monday, October 16, 2023!

Fall is in the air and that means it is about time for the annual Kiwanis Fair!   What a fun time for our community.  Statesboro School of Dance always looks forward to participating in the parade each year!

We will meet at 4:30 at our float on Olliff Street behind Dairy Queen and near Tillman and Deal.  Enter off Hill Street north toward Olliff Street.  Some of the roads will be closed so you may have to park and walk your dancer to the float.  Any of the Kiwanis volunteers should be able to help you locate the SSOD float. (We are #? in the parade route.) The parade starts at 5:00 pm.  Remember, roads will be blocked off downtown, please plan accordingly.

The PINK and WHITE classes will definitely ride on the float.  All other students can ride if there is room, but be prepared to walk if necessary.  PARENTS ARE WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED TO COME AND MARCH IN THE PARADE WITH US.  THE MORE THE MERRIER!  There are no restrooms on the parade route, so please, have your child visit the restroom beforehand and do not send any drinks or snacks with them.

PINK, WHITE, ROYAL BLUE & PURPLE CLASSES please wear SSOD class color uniform and some good walking shoes.  GREEN AND B & B CLASSES PLEASE WEAR SSOD COLORS (PINK, WHITE & BLACK ) TO MATCH THE FLOAT. THIS WOULD BE A GREAT TIME TO WEAR YOUR SSOD JERSEY OR T-SHIRT IF YOU HAVE ONE.

The parade will end at Wendy’s on Fair Road, but we will take the float and all the walking students down Zetterower Avenue back to the dance studio to be picked up as soon as possible.

We want this to be a fun and a safe time for all the dancers, so remember to sign your child in when you drop them off and sign them out when you pick them up.
